to think about what we’re not thinking about

going through my old writings, i found something i wrote when i was dreaming of having a child. it’s beautiful, vulnerable and worth the share. i hope you’ll enjoy to read it as much as i enjoyed to remember it!

thinking about what we’re not thinking about. the howl of the wind, the beat of your heart. the silence. a cat that purrs, a life inhabited. an empty smell. loose words and without sense.

thinking about what we’re not thinking about is to go behind the thought and scare it. it is to put vinegar into olive oil, and see the words, that have always been there, come to surface.

thinking about what i’m not thinking about is to speak about the future, that one that i wish to be present. it is to see the belly grow, and your hand on it. it is to put your ear and listen to a heart beating.

to think about what i’m not thinking is to not mention the flaws, it is to know we aren’t perfect. to think about what i’m not thinking about is to know that we will be even happier.

what i don’t think about is what i do when no one is looking. to ask you again, to turn our dream into reality.
